Well, I saw the music videos mentioned in the Fan Art section. Watching them tossed me back into an old pastime of mine - matching songs. I like to match songs to particular characters, relationships, and/or shows.
So I thought of a couple for Young Blades. These aren't the best matches - I'll need more time (and a list of songs) to come up with some better ones. But I thought I'd share these and ask that others share songs they think match. Then I can find and listen to those songs to evaluate for myself.
The Show - All For One (even though it doesn't suit) on basis of title alone and I guess "You've Got a Friend in Me" (Toy Story)
D'Artagnan - I was trying to think of not-too-sappy "In Love With a Friend" song. Problem being that I love sap. So I tried to find an appropriate father/son song. But most of the ones I can think of are either "dad's wonderful" or "dad was an abusive drunk or abandoner." And "100 Blouses" just doesn't suit.
Jacqueline - Reflection (Mulan), Break Away
Jacqeline/d'Artagnan - The Safest Place (LeAnn Rimes) in a post-Secrets, fanficcy type of way
Siroc and Ramon are giving me problems - we never really saw their backstories, so it's hard to find anything that meshes with so little to go on.
Siroc - The first song I thought of was "Through Your Hands" - but while it's a great Simon Tam song, it didn't work for me for Siroc. Maybe something about starting over (joining the musketeers) or learning lessons (DaVinci's Notebook)
Ramon - Honestly, right now all I can come up with are "Witchy Woman" and "Cheeseburger in Paradise" - suggestions would be wonderful.

"Everything I Do (I Do It For You" by Bryan Adams. I think this song would be perfect for Jacqueline/D'Artagnan. The bridge sums everything up: Oh - you can't tell me it's not worth tryin' forI can't help it - there's nothin' I want more I would fight for you - I'd lie for you Walk the wire for you - ya I'd die for you I'd brings to mind all that D'Artagnan is risking because he's helping her conceal her secret. He's told her countless times that he will be there for her through thick and thin, that he won't rest until Jacqueline Roget is pardoned and she can be a free woman again. Thus, he will 'fight, lie, walk the wire' and, as we've seen in Secrets even die for her. Furthermore, this song makes me think of the lyricist trying to convince his subject that there's something in their heart too: Look into my eyes - you will see What you mean to me Search your heart - search your soul And when you find me there you'll search no more And... Look into your heart - you will find There's nothin' there to hide Take me as I am - take my life I would give it all - I would sacrifice It's such a lovely melody too! If I were talented, or even at all able, to compose a fan video featuring this song, I would do it in a heartbeat. For a more comic interlude, however, I have some suggestions that bring out the stereotypes in Siroc, Ramon and King Louis Siroc, because he's a science guy, I suggest: the "Weird Science" theme song. (Anyone remember this series from the early 90's? lol) or even the theme from "Bill Nye the Science Guy". Ramon, because he's got a monstrous appetite, "Just Eat It" from Weird Al Yankovic And finally, King Louis, because he's going to be a king someday, "I just can't wait to be King" from The Lion King Heehee.

For D'Artagnan - "Love in the First Degree" by Alabama
I once thought of love as a prison a place I didn't want to be. So long ago I made a decision to be footloose and fancy free. But you came I was so tempted to gamble on love just one time. I never thought I would get caught. It seemed like the perfect crime.
Chorus: Baby, you left me defenseless. I've only got one plea. Lock me away inside of your love and throw away the key. I'm guilty of love in the first degree.
I thought it would be so simple, like a thousand times before. I'd take what I wanted and just walk away, but I never made it to the door. Now babe, I'm not beggin' for mercy. Go ahead and throw the book at me. If lovin' you's a crime, I know that I'm as guilty as a man can be.

Jacqueline (a little J/D, too) - really have to listen to this one to me (lyrics along don't work) Star - Bryan Adams What cha wanna be - when you grow up What cha gonna do - when your time is up What cha gonna say - when things go wrong What cha wanna do - when you're on your own There's a road - long and winding The lights are blindin' - but it gets there Don't give up - don't look back There's a silver linin' - it's out there somewhere Everybody wants an answer - everybody needs a friend We all need a shinin' star on which we can depend N' so tonight we're gonna wish upon a star We never wished upon before - (to find what you're looking for) There'll be times - in your life Ya when you' be dancin' n' nuts - but you ain't gettin it But don't get disillusioned - no, don't expect too much Cuz if what you have is all you can get - just keep on tryin' - it just ain't happened yet Everybody wants ta be winner - everybody has a dream We all need a shinin' star when things ain't what they seem So tonight we're gonna wish upon a star We never wished upon before - (gotta get where you're headed for) Everybody wants some kindness - everybody needs a break We all need a shinin' star when things get hard to take So tonight we're gonna wish upon a star We never wished upon before www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDrZ6UWOgGs - link to a non-YB vid with this song, just in case anyone wants to listen

I was watching a YB vid on YouTube by tpal... the song was Seasons of Love, from the musical, Rent. I think it fits the four friends. Seasons of LoveFive hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes, Five hundred twenty-five thousand moments so dear, Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes, How do you measure, measure a year?
In daylights, in sunsets, In midnights, in cups of coffee, In inches, in miles, in laughter and strife, In five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes - How do you measure, a year in a life?
How about love? How about love? How about love? Measure in love
Seasons of love Seasons of love
Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes Five hundred twenty-five thousand journeys to plan Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes How do you measure the life of a woman or a man?
In truths that she learned Or in times that he cried In bridges he burned Or the way that she died
It's time now - to sing out Tho' the story never ends Let's celebrate Remember a year in the life of friends
Remember the love Remember the love Remember the love Measure in love
Measure, measure your life in love
Seasons of love ... Seasons of love RK9.

yes that was an exelant video. and thank you jeantre16 and tzigone for being so suportive of my "Maziren + henchmen = pinky and the brain" idea. Oh and I can think of another veggy tails song that would fit Ramon, the extra song form the ultimate silly song countdown, Do the Moo Sho. Woulden't It look great to wach Ramon chowing down on all his favoret foods (or trying to) to that song? ;D

'What makes you different, makes you beatiful' might also be a good one to show how D'Art feels towards Jac, I'm also thinking along w/ the pinkie and the brain... we add Star Wars 'imperial march' to Mazarin and his goonies!
