Family always comes first! I hope to see you in the fourth and final round, queengwen. It won't begin until Friday evening.

Reading and rating goes until tomorrow, 6pm West Coast time.

In the stress of posting my final entry only three minutes before the deadline yesterday, I mislabled a dialog line of Spock's to say "Kirk." LOL ( Where's that smiley when you need it?!)

With one more day left to submit for the fourth and final round, I find myself unsure if I'll manage to pull it off.

The winner for round 3 left us with a major Original Series back-story. Now there are at least three prominent story threads to tie in. It's intimidating.

On the plus side, yesterday I went to the used book store and found two old books with the eps from the Original Series that this story is pulling from. Both books cost me under $3.

With yesterday's find, it would be a shame if I didn't enter at least something. I do have some disjointed segments and a general idea of where I want to go with it. I just need some peace and quiet and a clear mind to think! (Both of which have elluded me on this busy weekend.)

So there's the update. I'll let you know if and when I get anything posted. For those who have visited the site and left ratings and comments, your encouragement has been appreciated.

This is it. I feel like I've finished the Tour de France. I may not have won the yellow jersey, but I'm glad to have gone the full four rounds.

Here's my entries. Actually, I have three, but I added a different ending on the second one to give it a warmer feeling at the end. I'll only link the first and third ones here. Your reading, rating and comments are appreciated. This round was a tough one with the entrenched backstory in it. I hope I did it justice.

For those curious on how this turned out, first let me say thanks to those who went over to the KvP site and voted for Safeguards.

What a crazy week. I found out I was in the finals while changing planes in an airport halfway across country. LOL That was a total shock! (See last post.)

My entry did NOT win, but I'm thrilled to have made it into the top 5 finalists. What an experience.
