This is a reminder for fanfic readers and writers to check out fanlib.com. My profile page is: www.fanlib.com/members/jeantre16/m031iJust about all my YB fics are posted there now. Some features of the fanlib site in addition to reviewing are star rating, marking favorites and friend networking. Regular contests are held for various TV (or movie) fandoms. There is also a forum where you can discuss/advertise your works. There is a Young Blades catagory for YB authors (not lumped under Dumas, but it's own catagory). I've braved the waters and hope to see some of you others display your work there too. Who knows, we may find some lost YB fans out there.

Go figure, fanlib.net just featured one of my fics, In-Between the Lines. Now would be a good time for you YB writers to put your stories up while we're getting free advertising.

Between October 11th and November 21st, fanlib is running a contest that anyone can win prizes in. Look on their home page at fanlib.com for the rules. By accumulating points, you can earn an iPod Nano or other prizes.

Here's another chance to win some Christmas goodies. This one sounds easy. Post from Fanlib.comIt’s been over three weeks since the Writers Strike began, and contract talks are ongoing. We all hope for a resolution soon, but in the meantime, FanLib presents 10 Ways to Survive the Writers Strike. After heeding our advice, we want yours. Share how you’re going to survive at the forums, and you’ll be entered to win one of five Writers Strike Survival Kits, filled with over $600 in goodies. www.fanlib.com/posts/list/1348.page

BTW, Gabrielle, you did great in that contest. Quite a few people liked your work. For those of you who have fanlib accounts, I've got a chapter chosen for a member contest finals. Here's the scoop: Voting has started for "The Best Written Chapter" contest. Here's the link: www.fanlib.com/s/49eabkI'd appreciate your consideration; the field of finalists is bigger than usual so your vote would really help. MyRobin Hood chapter, "Collecting is So Hard to Do," is the one that got selected. Thanks, JeanTre16 (I also entered two chapters from Sign of the Cross in another contest. If either makes the finals, I'll let you know. You could leave a note on them; it may help them get selected! One is Siroc in the sanctum and the other is J and D on the pirate ship.)

I made the deadline for the official 10,000 B.C. contest by two minutes. I was just too sick with the flu to work on it sooner. Here's the link: www.fanlib.com/s/Remember_the_battle/4omdr2I'd appreciate your support. Thanks, Jean

;D I entered another writing contest. The story is called, Dream Cycles, and it is for a contest based on a new book called, Wake. Here's the link to the story: www.fanlib.com/s/5j3pj5Please leave a note and rate if you have a moment. ;D Oh, and if you're wondering how the 10,000 BC contest turned out. I wound up getting a finalist promo package based on the movie - t-shirt, ball cap and miscellaneous fun stuff.
