Karen Cliche on "Flash Gordon", SciFi Channel starting 8/10 Baylin was Ming's most valuable bounty hunter. Cast out at an early age from her tribe, the Verden, Baylin learned to survive on her ownÉ she had to. Fiercely independent, with a strong personal code of honor, she is a force to be reckoned with. As dangerous as she is beautiful, Baylin joins Flash and Dale on Earth as they battle the evil forces of Mongo. Karen Cliche has had leading roles on several television series including Mutant X, Young Blades, Adventure Inc., Galidor, Vampire High, The Business and MTV's Undressed. She has made guest appearances on the SCI FI Channel series The Dresden Files, 'Til Death Do Us Part, Big Wolf On Campus and Aaron Spelling's All Souls. Cliche has starred in the feature films, Summer, Riders, and the Lifetime movies Flirting With Danger and I Do (But I Don't).

I liked it, but was it just me or does Ming's daughter look a little like Karen also? I was a little surprised that all three female leads were brunettes. I'm a brunette and have nothing against others, but with three it makes them all a very similar, thus my thinking Ming's daughter was Karen's character until Karen actually appeared on screen later. I know what Karen looks like from her three other TV shows, but hair pulled back and different make-up can make a person look different or similar in a way to another actress. Did that make any sense??

I don't have cable either, so I missed it when it came on television. I did get to watch part of it on scifi.com, though, and it looks like the show will be a lot of fun. Awesome! Thank you for those links.

Just watched the show myself (thank God for DVR <G>). Pretty awesome! Can't wait to see what happens next.
BTW, I don't know if anyone noticed, but there's an additional connection between Flash Gordon and YB. The actress who plays Flash's mother also played Duval's ex in 'The Chameleon'

That's a great observation tpal2150. I am pretty certain that before long, everything will be traceable to Young Blades by two degrees!

Flash Gordon is on right now. I agree with you raven, the other actress does have similar features to Karen. They should have given them different hair colors at least.
Gotta go watch the rest.

Last night I saw the "Joy Bug" ep. I'm not sure if that was last week's or this week's show. The acting was better and I hope it continues to mature.
For some reason I kept thinking a different sound track would compliment the show better. Just a thought.

seems Karen isn't the only yb alum in on the act (aside from the actress playing Flash's mom). Tonight's episode had a guest spot from Zak as a bartender.
