Anyone watching Alcatraz? I saw the first two hour episode and I like the premise of this show. Again, it kind of reminds me of the unconventional pairing of a police woman and consultant (Castle). Then, there's the whole added layer of the convicts, the woman who got shot and the person behind the time-travel crimes. What do you think? Link to website: www.fox.com/alcatraz/ |

I haven't seen the actual show, but they ran a preview on the last flight I took. Looks good. I have to find it online, I guess.

At this point I'm starting to lose interest in this show. Here's why:
1. Week after week of cynical, sadistic Alcatraz crime (not only by the prisoners, but the guards) and I cry "Enough is enough!"
2. Plot line is getting too weirded out. Not sure I like where it's heading (if even the writers know).
So I may bail.

So I'm still watching this. But after having a conversation with someone about J.J. Abrams' writing style (both Alcatraz and Person of Interest are his shows), I'm braced for the plot line to get stranger and stranger, without having real direction. What makes this a suspicion? "Lost" was also his show, and it ended on a very odd note as I'm told (since I never watched it).
We'll see...

My hat goes off to anyone who can figure out Hauser's involvement with what's going on. I don't trust him. He knows more than he lets on and he keeps too many secrets. He's also not very nice. Lots of weird stuff going on behind the scenes.

Next week is the two-hour finale. Will I or won't I want to watch next season? As it is, I turn off the TV when it's the creepy guy is doing his crime. I'm more interested in the why the 63s are showing up in 2012. Lots of questions that need answering. I hope Abrams doesn't leave frayed ends. I'm already hanging on by a thread. Ha-ha
