I just read book one in the Pamela Aidan trilogy: Fitwilliam Darcy Gentleman, An Assembly Such as This.
I love the beginning. Thought it progressed a bit slow, but by the time I was part of the way through the book, it flowed really well. I didn't realize it was a trilogy until I was 3/4 of the way through it.
I put book two on order through my public library. There's four people ahead of me!
If you love the BBC P&P version, you'll enjoy this take from Mr. Darcy's POV.
Has anyone else read these?

Not that one...read several set just over the Darcy's marriage and one called Mr. Darcy's Story set in his POV which was really good... in fact I saw there's a new one out at Borders yesterday... didn't get it though... not with leaving on vaca in Europe soon..can't really spend any money right now.

I've read all three in the Fitzwilliam Darcy Gentleman series by now. I loved them. Even the second, more controversial, Darcy filler was enjoyable. I'd recommend these for the P&P fan.
The same author, Pamela Aiden, is working on a sequel to the character she created in the Darcy stories. He is a fabulous character and am thrilled she's following up with his storyline.
