I was surfing the internet and I saw that John Mayer recommended a book for anyone creative. The book is called The War of Art: Break Through the Blocks and Win Your Inner Creative Battles by Steven Pressfield. On amazon.com it's like $10 to get. I haven't read it but based on the reviews it really sounds like a good book. This is a book that is for sure going on my to get list.

This isn't really a book recommendation, but it has to do with a recent book I won. I'm kind of a crossword puzzle nerd. There was a contest for the first five people to complete the puzzle and email the results. I came in second! I won an signed book of my choice from Jerry B. Jenkins (Left Behind author). I picked his book Writing for the soul. It's about his writing career. It kind of relates to the John Mayer book you mentioned about creativity. ;D Is Mayer's book about "art"? or creativity? I think I'll check it out.

Not really into war books...
I love Lynn Kurland's books though.

Not really into war books... It's not a war book. The book is about creativity.

Read a Jane Austen story called, "Lady Susan." The format was a bit unusual. It was a series of letters between various characters that progresses the story about the so-called "Lady Susan." I won't say any more for those who might want to read it, but I enjoyed the story. Anyone else read this? I found it in a complete works of Jane Austen book. Here's a link if you'd like to read it online. www.online-literature.com/austen/ladysusan/

Actually, my husband bought me the complete works of Jane Austen...so, I'll be getting to that.
Still working on Sense and Sensibility and the "spinoff": Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters (the prompt for getting into her works in the first place).
You want something funny? Try this...I haven't laughed so hard since...I think...Doug Adams! (and that was a couple of years ago!)

Is that a book or movie? Definitely sounds like a spoof.

Book.
Total spoof! Hysterical. All about how the Dashwoods are constantly being attacked by sea monsters...the writer, Ben Winters, actually took the original text, and inserted his own take. He wrote a zombie one for Pride and Prejudice, too.

Oh, I think I saw the P&P zombie one. Poor Jane. She's probably better off not knowing what's become of her novel.

LOL. One would hope she might have a sense of humor about it. It's really fun!
