What's your favorite flower or plant? It's spring now and everything is in bloom. It made me wonder what brought smiles to your faces...
Some of my favorites are:
Bulb/tuber--Iris and Tuberose Tree--Crepe Myrtle and Plumeria Annual/Perennial--marigolds (keeps insects away from veggies) Herb--basil
Actually, it's hard to choose.

hands down, without a doubt, yellow roses are my favorite. Those are my mom's favorite too. ;D Here are some of my favorites. For trees two of my favoritesare Weeping Willow and Dogwood. As for flowers some of my favroites are Daisies, Heather ( ;D), Texas Bluebonnet, Orchids, Irises, Roses, and I could name many more. This is when having allergies is really annoying. Oh, well. I also love herbs. I don't really have a favorite because I love them all. I mean you can use them for a number of things. You have to love that.

Right on that last point.
Aren't "yellow" roses the most fragrant?

I'm rather a picky eater, it was learn to cook or starve! I can cook a lot of gourmet type stuff, including bannas foster, cherries jublilee... etc... and regular stuff too.

Nothing about flowers in there, wowposter. I must say, I don't really like flowers at all. It's gonna make things hard for when I get a boyfriend (*wink*). I mean, I like looking at pictures of flowers if the photography is good, and all, but I just don't have an interest in them. Trees, maybe - they're fun to climb and make nature scenes pretty to look at. But otherwise, when it comes to nature, I prefer animals to plants. It's weird, but my neighbor is much more than a flower/plant freak than I am, and he's a guy! He really has a green thumb too since his mom's garden is quite big and he never has to worry about herbs and stuff when it comes to cooking. His mom even makes some jam out of a strange, bitter fruit that they grow (forgot its name) and she bottles her own dragonfruit wine. I tried a little once and my cheeks turned red right away. LOL. Okay, maybe I like daisies. Why? Well, actually I haven't ever seen a real daisy, but that's what my former dog was named. And uh, the ixora flowers, because when I was little I'd pick them in little bunches and drink the honey from them. Um, sweet! The red ixoras always tasted a little different from yellow ixoras, I remember.

Oddly enough, I prefer carnations over roses. One, they last longer, and two, the scent isn't as overbearing as with roses.
I like sunflowers, don't know why haha.
And I LOVE bamboo plants. So low maintenance, and the jars they come in are very elegant.

I love lilacs. My mother had a bush out in the back yard, and we used to pick the flowers and suck out the nectar too! I now live where they are very hard to grow, and we put in two bushes in the back yard. I get so excited over the one or two tiny sprigs that we get every summer! (a few more each year).
