Wow! That's cheap.
I wondered when Castle would start up again, but I don't think it starts until January. Am I right about that?

I watched it three times, noticing something new each time. I love shows where you pick up more the second and third times around. I'm glad writers/directors are putting thought into this show. I hope it has a successful fourth season. First off, I grinned at the irony of the show's first homicide: Kate's! Did you notice how her heart rate flatlined before the first commercial break? Loved that! Of course, I knew she'd be back to solve her own case...eventually. On the bitter side, while I didn't like the Kate/Castle snub (she left him hanging three months! and only saw him because she learned he held clues to her mom's case - OUCH!)... I did think writers made Kate's reaction show depth. Only a two-dimensional character would bounce back to the saddle, drop boyfriend and go googledy-eye over the chance of a relationship with Castle. The path writers took for Kate not only allowed for an exploration of what someone might go through if they faced her situation, they gave season four its heart. Will Castle be able to take down that wall in Kate's heart so he can finally win the girl? We shall see that theme beat to death this year (pun intended). Of course there was the reasonability flaw that someone with her kind of injury would bounce back at all, and in her case in only three months. Come on, she went into cardiac arrest! But hey, it is Hollywood and she is Kate Becket. One raw nerve season three's bend left fans with is that the show became too serious with all the Kate drama. Fans loved the show for it's Nathan Fillion fun! But trivializing Kate's mom's murder isn't wise either. It's the whole underlying premise of the show. Writers balanced that as well as expected in this season's episode one. We see a hint of the lighthearted return when Kate is lured into the other homicide. And when Alexis tells her dad not to grow up too much, he responds, "Hey, it's me we're talking about." So "Enough for now," is the phrase Kate and Castle hang on for season four. We'll see how long that lasts. That's my opinion. How 'bout yours?

Season 4, episode 2 was really good (once it got past the crime scene - yuck!).
Loved, loved, loved the twist at the end! Won't say a thing more until everyone has seen it.

I kinda liked the twist at the end of Episode 1, better than the...end of 2.
But then...did you see Hawaii Five-0? THAT was a twist! You should check it out...HULU, but if you haven't been watching it all along, you might not get it. I don't think they keep them on for more than about a month.

This past Monday's episode alluded to the psychopath that tied Castle up and took Ryan's gun last season. Mildly interesting and a hint he'll appear later in the season somehow. But there was next to nothing between Kate and Castle aside from Kate's lie that she doesn't remember a thing from the day she was shot (to Castle's obvious disappointment).
Next week's previews show Castle flirting or being flitted with to Kate's disliking. Oh, Castle, why can't you keep out of women trouble?!

Something was hinted at about the witness protection program...was that at the end of the episode? Or the clips from the next? It's important. Not sure why. There's also going to be something about the military and drones, I think...per twitter.
