While watching Robin Hood the Series, some comparisons and contrasts struck me about "head bad man's" sidekick roles. Bernard was a loyal follower of Mazarin, even though he sometimes cringed at his boss' tactics. Lamarr, of our own Virtual Series, is an independant thinker; yet, he doesn't hesitate to do Mazarin's dirty work. Guy Gisborne is somewhere in-between the two. He tries to go outside of Nottingham's (almost crazy at times) approval, but always seems to end up submitting to his superior. What do you think? And how about other "Bad Man" sidekick relationships from other shows?

Rochefort in the disney 3 musketeers (michael wincott) does his duty dispite reservations, he was a musketeer first and when the cardinal begins talking about doing away with the king his musketeer instincts reawake but he camoflauges his objection in a manner shy of out right objection "he (the king) is a foolish boy and bearly that" even so that defiance is enough for his master to verbally slap him down.

Guy Gisborne in Robinhood prince of thieves (also michael wincott) is a slightly twisted bully who thinks hunting children for sport is amusing. the sheriffe is his cousin and guy seems to genuinely have feelings for the man which is unfortunate because it means he on those familial bonds...and his cousin is a lunatic. who hesitated only a momment to run him through.

Good points.
What about Superman Returns... Lex's 'side kicks' had some 'kick' to them as well.
