I watched YB during it's original run on PAX. After it was over, I kind of forgot about it for a while. I was looking for fic on another show, and I saw a YB crossover, and I ended up here.
Jacqueline is my favorite character (and I'm just as likely to refer to her as "Jacques" in any given sentence)
Siroc is probably #2. Then d'Artagnan, then Ramon. I like them all though.
I really like Gerard, though we saw him little. I like Duval a lot, too. Louis and Anne - most of the time.
I love fic. Some of my favorite things to read about are the ones that are rarely dealt with - Jacqueline's relationship with her father and brother and d'Artagnan's with his father. And Duval - I just like him. I like the bits I see in fic where he thinks on our musketeers.
I wish we'd gotten more in the show about Ramon and Siroc. Gives a freer hand in fic, but I like a firmer footing on my characters. If we'd had a couple more seasons, I'm sure this would have been much better. As it is, I never feel like I have a firm grip on them and how they'd react to things and such. It's fine watching the show, but when I try to create my own scenarios, I flounder a bit.
I'm not sure what my favorite episode is - I really do like Enchanted and Exile and DaVinci's Notebook. Secrets, I don't like (reasons on thread).
I am a J/D fan, but I prefer him when he's not flirting with other women (to make her jealous - I'm fine with genuine interest elsewhere in the first half or two-thirds of the show) or trying love potions. I don't mind most of the flirty comments, but I like him best when he's genuine and more serious and more of the way she described with the "honorable" comment in Secrets. Her - she's so silly sometimes. I find her "don't look" and "saw what" over-reactions amusing, though. And I did like d'Artagnan's "overly-earnest" comment - she's a kind of serious person. It's good if he can get her to lighten up a bit.
