The Scarlet/Butler/Ashley love triangle romance does have a gothic novel flair to it, but it has war and history in it too. I imagine if you think it's a chick-flick, then it is. One of my favorite lines from that movie is: "I don't wanna think about it today. I'll think about it tomorrow." - Scarlet
