What are your favorite holiday/Christmas movies? Two of mine are A Christmas Carol the 1938 verison and Dr. Seuss - How the Grinch Stole Christmas with Jim Carrey.

Mine too! I actually dislike holiday movies, but I love that one. It's probably because of the music. Irving Berlin, need I say more.

My mom and I watch it on Thanksgiving because it takes you through Thanksgiving to Christmas in the movie. I however, prefer the old version with Natalie Wood and Maureen O'Hara. I really like Maureen O'Hara, though.

The Muppet's Christmas Carol.
Charles D's (not d'Artagnan) story was adapted wonderfully. The music is catchy. The lines are funny. The entire project was not an easy undertaking and it was done so well.
Marley and Marley's, "Chains!" song is great! And I love the cute little "rat."

All those are great (though it's been ages since I've seen the Muppets Christmas Carol). However, my personal top 3 (I can't pick just one <g>) are: A Christmas Carol (the version w/Patrick Stewart as Scrooge), A Diva's Christmas Carol (the one that was on VH1 a few years back), and that old Rankin-Bass special The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus (based on the book by Frank L. Baum)

With the holiday season in full swing has anyone seen any new holiday/Christmas movies that have made it to your favorites list. For me there was one last night that I loved it was called Holiday in Handcuffs on ABC Family. It starred Melissa Joan Hart and Mario Lopez. It totally made it to my favorites list. ;D

The recent Santa Clause series have managed to keep my interest for humor reasons.
Rudolph is a classic I enjoy on occasion.
And speaking of occasion, The Polar Express on the IMAX screen is something to see. 3-D done right! Snowflakes fall on you and that train comes close enough to touch ... almost. The down side is after seeing it in 3-D, the home-showing is bland.

I saw the Holiday in Handcuffs last night also. I liked it. Mario Lopez in a towel- what's not to like. *wipes drool from chin*
