So, I finally saw it, and I have to say I liked it. I was really worried that with 3 villains the story would become convulted beyond belief, but it all worked in the end. It is not really the same as the first two, but its own kind of movie, and I think I appreciated that from the director and the actors, that they didn't just try to recreate the same old story: it was good in a different but genuine way. I will have to say this is the first Spiderman that I thought Mary Jane developed into a real character and I actually liked her (beyond just being Peter Parker's girl). All the characters really went a step up dimension-wise.
OK, I will admit there was some cheese and a few forgettable scenes (for those who have seen it, you will know what I mean). But I enjoyed the story and was touched at the end, and there are plenty of movies out there that don't do that at all.
