After spending 2.5 hours on the phone with a "tech support" for my downed internet (and things only seemed to progress from bad to worse) I insisted on a real tech coming out to fix my problem. The "real person" fixed my orginal problem plus the "tech created" problems in less than half the time of the original call. In humor, someone sent me the appropriate comic. It kind of reminded me of the YB dungeon. Of course, the only tech support I'd trust would be Siroc. But wouldn't anyone rather have him come out in person than be on the phone? my history porfessor in HS had one cartoon i remember... there was this headsman with his ax ready, the poor prisoner was down at the block... the headsman says "keep whistling, I forgot my glasses.
also on the class room wall was a cartoon showing a computer the screen said "press any key to enter" next to it was a viking with his warhammer poised and ready. Lord knows I've felt that way a time or two.

Not that this is humorous, but it reminds me of the "tech torture" comic above. Actually, it's kind of an "I learned something new today post."
Today I learned that it takes less time to remedy an email account issue by emailing the system administrator with the problem than it takes to fix it on the phone. ;D

Here's a great video clip, not exactly from the musketeer period or from France, but it is hillarious. I wasn't sure if it should go here or under advertising, but since it has follows along with the comic above, I put it here. Surely everyone can relate to issues with upgrading thier computers, phones, etc. and the ever experts from the "help desk." Here's a original take on that thought if it were to happen... long, long ago. Imagine, upgrading from the scroll to the book.
