Who are some of your favorite music artists? Some of mine would be Mariah Carey, Rascal Flatts, Kelly Clarkson, Backstreet Boys, and I could go on with this but I'll leave it at that.

Ok, I'll answer this but you may wish I hadn't. Country- Diamond Rio, Alison Krauss, Ricky Skaggs, Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley, (currently addicted to Jason Aldean and Trent Willmon), Josh Gracin, Kenny Chesney, Patsy Cline, Waylon Jennings. Other musical genres- BackStreet Boys, Brian McKnight, Nickelback, Evanescence, Sade, Corrs, Gaelic Storm, Loreena McKennitt, Heart, Classical music, opera(Carmen, La Boheme), Il Divo. I'll stop now. I listen to a lot of different music, but mainly country and than whatever music my mood dictates.

That is awesome! I've been searching for someone else that likes Il Divo! I think they are incredible but have been having a hard time getting others to agree. I like most of the other artists you named and must add Toby Keith to the country lists. I also like Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, Michael Buble, Enrique Iglesias, Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood, not to mention tons of oldies singers.

It is hard to choose a favorite music artist. I have been accused of liking just about every kind of music, IF done well (Oh, but please spare me the screaming! It hits my headache nerve center).
I do like seeing music performed live--WELL. Today I've been listening to several CD's I recently saw performed live and really enjoyed the concerts.
David Crowder Band: A Collision--talk about a fun concert!
and
Fusebox: Lost in Worship--very gifted emerging musician and vocalist formerly connected with Rebecca St. James
also
Phil Keaggy--a guitarist who in his own rights is a one man band! This man is not only a fabulous player, but a whose who in the music industry, and it's obvious why! The things he can do with that guitar!

Hmm, what do I listen to?
Well considering the profession, lost of stuff. Staples playing at work are Mark, of course; Rascal Flatts (doesn't anyone here not like them?); Darren Hayes/Savage Garden; Sarah Maclachlin (I've spelled that wrong); Loreena McKinnit; and pretty much anything that fits my current mood. Today it seems to be Lisa Loeb and Tegan and Sarah. I love female vocalists, singer/songwriter type.
Okay, I'm done.

I like Rascal Flatts, Mark (of course!), Hillsongs and Planetshakers. I like a lot of Disney songs too and songs from the Pokemon anime. Jesse McCartney isn't bad either. But most of all, I like listening to soundtracks, particularly the ones of CSI and LOTR. Ooh, I forgot to mention North - they're an Australian band signed with BMG Malaysia...and because they're signed with BMG Malaysia, even some Australians have never heard of them. But they're good.

I love soundtracks especally as backdrop to writing: Vanhelsing, daredevil, batman, spiderman, starwars, narnia, LOTR, Pirates of the carabean, gladiator, 3 musketeers, man in the iron mask, count of monte cristo, robinhood prince of thieves, princess bride, and secrets of roan inish - And of course we musn't forget our own mark hildrith
aside from that i like world music, celtic, medieval, christian, classical, newage and danish pop guess thats enough of a style split to make anyone shudder... i suppose i'll listen to anything but rap... and stuff with really explisit/negitive lyrics ... input...out put; doncha know

...the two solo artists I continually have in the CD player are: Michael Buble and Carrie Underwood... and then I have the "Romantic Adagios" CD set when I'm studying. But hey-- Cuban, Country, Classical, Romantic era, Rock 'n Roll, Oldies... as long as it sounds fun/beautiful, I love it. (Music lover... what can I say?)
