On the old YB board we used to have a place for books for people to read, that relate to the Musketeers or their time period. Well, for all you King Charles II fans out there, this is a great book that tells about his adventures getting to France.
Royal Escape by Georgette (?) Heyer
Tells alot about attitudes toward royalty, their inner court and the courtesies afforded to them by others, a little about material life and culture, etc. I got it as a book on tape, and it was a great read...of course the reader did a great job with the voices so that helped. Just thought I'ld throw that out there.
