Being that it's Thanksgiving time (stateside) here's the question faced by millions of homes after the bird is carved and the taste for that large foul has been satiated: What do we do with those leftovers?
Here's a place to share your recipes or ideas to help others figure out what to do. And you may get some new ideas yourself.
I'll start with my #1 solution:
1. Give it away.

2. Just eat it... you can always loose weight after the holidays. ;D

4. Turkey Enchiladas Kriss, your tortilla wraps reminded me of one of my favorite recipes. - Leftover turkey, shredded
- sour cream (you can get away with Light since it's mixed with other flavors)
- flour tortillas
- enchiada sauce (canned)
- diced green chili peppers (canned)
- cheddar cheese, grated
- pepper, garlic powder & onion powder to taste
Mix turkey, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and sour cream together. Fill and roll tortillas with mixture. Line up in baking dish and pour most of the enchilada sauce over rolled tortillas. cover with grated cheese and top with diced green chili peppers and remaining enchilada sauce. Bake in 400* oven for 20 minutes.

5. Turkey Soup
Place bones with meat in a large pot of water. Add veggies (just about anything--carrots, peas, potatoes, squash, beans, even corn on the cob if you like), salt, pepper, garlic, and onion. Pasta noodles can be put in too, or alphabets. Boil until broth tastes good. Remove meat from bones (take bones out). Freeze extra soup for another winter day's quick meal.

6. Invite company over that didn't have turkey on Thanksgiving Day. (That's on my list for tomorrow! ;D )

7. Give it to the dog (why should he/she be left out of the festivities? <g> )

7. Give it to the dog (why should he/she be left out of the festivities? <g> ) You are absolutely right! And on that note, since there is no dog in this house... 8. Give some to the cat. What cat doesn't like bird? But mine wanted it fresh off the bones and balked at the leftovers. (spoiled)

Certain things yes, table scraps no! You're scaring me, folks. Pets should be cherished, not slowly poisoned. Be careful what you feed them!!!!! Now back to topic! 9. Send them with your boyfriend for lunch...after all, he's always calling and saying 'I'm hungry' when at work, why not kill too birds with one stone? ;D

Give to turtle... red-eared-sliders can eat small quanities of any meat (raw or cooked) or raw fruit or vegitable people eat (except pork which makes them fat) they also are fond of cat and dog food. Store bought turtle pellets do not provide enough balanced nutrient to be a sole source of nutrition for an active turtle.

Don't worry Hedani about my baby. He's very spoiled and only scores a rare catch, like those nibbles of "bird" (and an occassional tuna)...items already in his regular cat food. 11. Speaking of healthy eating, put some turkey in a salad.

12. Name streets in honor of the "leftover" parts--"Turkey Toe" and "Turkeyfoot." Yes, these are REAL streets...I took the picture myself.

Here's a new suggestion for 2008. I got it in an email newsletter.
In 1971 scientists learned how to turn sewage into oil in just twenty minutes using heat and pressure. Now, a lab in Texas shows that even the scraps from your Thanksgiving turkey is a great way to make oil in just half an hour.
