So, this was the antidote to last episodes "Beckett" POV...this was almost entirely him.

Poor Castle...he hasn't been so soundly shot down since he and Beckett first started working together! And by the end, he's completely conflicted, scared shitless and creeped out.

OMG! The look that came over him when Slaughter started talking about "the cute redheaded intern" in the morgue.

On the zombie theme: the crime part was well thought out. It's creepy thinking there are probably real zombie walks out there. Just plain bizarre.

On the Castle/Kate theme: Kate drops just enough hints to lure Castle back for more punishment. I'm guessing it will go well to the point Kate discovers Rick's file at home on her case, and that he's been withholding information from her. But that will be next season's crisis...or will it show its head sooner? Perhaps a season finale cliff-hanger?

All the sites say that there will be some revelation next week. If you watched the trailer...he says "Kate, I love you...if that means anything..." I think the line finished with something about dropping the case. Funny how the whole "Mr. Smith" thing only comes up when it's convenient for the story...Didn't Mr. Smith TELL him to stick around and protect her? Yet here he is considering just walking away...Hmmm.

I just LOVE how they tie his home life to the Beckett story lines...

I thought about that too. If Castle walked out of Kate's life, the whole Mr. Smith plot would fall apart.

I agree about his home life. It's so sweet how him and Alexis interact. Loved the laser tag. And his mom is precious too. She knows he's hooked on Beckett.
