What is your favorite relationship on Young Blades? Those that know me more than likely know how I'll answer this. ;D My favorite relationship on the show would have to be D'Artagnan/Jacqueline. What can I say? I'm a shipper at heart.

thats not exactally a fair question as Jaques and Dart are the only ones with a "relationship" having said that, i also like the tence interplay between Darts Jr. and Sr. I also like the contrast between Duvall in his roll as captain vs his roll as favorite uncle. Flip-sides of the same coin as it were.

I know it's not exactly canon, but if I had to pair Jacqueline with anyone romantically, it would have to be Siroc. Why? Well, for one thing--and maybe it's just me--but I have trouble seeing Jacqueline and D'Artagnon as a workable couple. Yes, their interactions on the show were amusing (sometimes bordering on adorable), but I honestly think it was more of an infatuation than anything else. D'Artagnon wanted her because she was a challenge...because she didn't throw herself at him or fawn over him based upon daddy's repuation. And Jacqueline...whatever closeness she and D'Artagnon developed was probably more from the whole 'shared secret' thing than any sort of romance and, even if they had tried entering into a relationship, it wouldn't have lasted.
Siroc, on the other hand, seems more like the kind of guy she could have a long-term relationship with. I mean, she herself said once that she wanted to be with 'someone serious.' And who fits that bill better than Siroc? Besides, I think that the writers could've done far more with his character than they did. With a few exceptions, he was more or less consistently portrayed as the quirky inventor with ideas way ahead of his time (that didn't always work), as well as the straight man in the comic duo consisting of himself and Ramon. They never gave him a real history (even though the website claimed that he was a former slave), and never entertained even the slightest idea of him doing anything not involving his inventions and/or the musketeers. And the only time we ever saw him with a female was during 'Secrets,' and that was just because of a love potion he'd invented....Okay, rant over. Anyway...point is, I think Siroc and Jacqueline would've made a far better couple than her and D'Artagnon. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it : dodges rotten tomatoes from J/D shippers:

Well considering that I am cowriting a story with Shirley i can't comment with leaving spoilers all over the place. Personally, If Duvall knew about her, I would put Duvall with Jacqueline. Now don't go yelling about the age difference as that was a common practice in those days for a younger woman to be paired with a older man a Practice that is not so bad.
On the other hand I am also writing a crossover that has Siroc paired with someone else. <g> oops dang spoilers

Yeah, Siroc's a nice guy and all, but Jacqueline's childhood dream was to be "d'Artagnan." Of course, there is only one person who could make that possible!

Good point. However, as I believe Jacqueline told Gerard in "Secrets," she wanted to 'be' D'Artagnon, not marry him.

True, she did say she wanted to 'be' D'Artagnan, not marry him, but that was about Sr., not Jr...

I know it's not exactly canon, but if I had to pair Jacqueline with anyone romantically, it would have to be Siroc. -snip- Thank you for posting this. You described what I see in this ship much better than I ever could. Although I honestly have to say that I also enjoy Jacqueline/Siroc because I love non-canon ships. Once a pairing is explored in the show, it's just not as interesting to me. I like fanfiction to explore strange new possibilities that the show hasn't addressed. I also think Jacqueline/Siroc has an interesting dynamic to it because he doesn't know she's a woman. Many of us have surmised that since he's smart, he's guessed that she is, but we really don't know for sure. And because of that, I see a slashy element to their relationship: Siroc is attracted to her, thinking that she is a man. I don't write slash, so I'd never be able to approach the relationship from this angle and do it the justice it deserves, but I'd love to read it if someone else did. Not that I don't love Jacqueline/d'Artagnan - the two of them have serious chemistry. But, like I said, I love exploring other possibilities.

Well what I think is that Jacqueline does not belong with Sirco at all, but with d'Artagnan! Because Siroc belongs with Juilana Opps..... that's only in my writings!

Definitely D'Artagnan and Jacqueline! They just belong to be together, and they're so funny together! D and J- scenes are lovely I wouldn't like to see Jacqueline and Siroc as a couple. They are too different. Probably they would bore each other to death. D and J <3

I'm usually very into fanon couples in whatever fandom it goes (big exception is anything Superman-verse, including Smallville. Clark and Lois all the way).
So yes... I have to admit that I think Jacqueline and Siroc would be interesting for me. Very interesting. I don't think they'd be bored at all. If they hit off, I believe it could work. Actually, on the pilot day, when I first saw the credits and all, I did think "Hmm, the girl and the blond guy would look cute together" then I thought that it'd not happen because credits showed d'Artagnan first.
But I also love the banters that I got to see between Jacqueline and d'Artagnan, and had the show continued, I do see potentials between them. And it's canon. That's saying something, I believe, given that I rarely go for anything canon.

I'm a Jacqueline/Siroc shipper all the way - although I don't mind d'Artagnan/Jacqueline. In fact, I promised JediJen a d'Artagnan/Jac fic...and she in return is writing a S/J fic for me.
